very useful techniques Sensei, very practical indeed... I was going home from the dojo one night, and some MMA guys who happened to have bokken with them started to bug me. I used some of these techniques above and was able to hit a couple of them pretty hard, and the rest just backed off. If I havent watched you videos, god knows what would've happened.. in the bunjinkan we are taught to remove ourselves from danger by hiding in the envelope of the attack then either through grappling striking or counter attack with a weapon we deal a finishing blow. But I always personally thought blocking was a good tactial decision that is really effective, all of my sensai's however disagree.Anyway thanks for the video!

If you can't appreciate that then look at other videos. They also have videos on how to boil eggs, tie a neck-tie, pick up girls and stuff you might find useful Petros0001. Sorry Choson doesn't hit any of those interesting subjects. BTW using your arms and hands in a similar fashion can be useful against mugging attacks too.

I've been looking into this, a few of these on a car exhaust with a big heatsink attached in the air flow of the car or have the radiator system of the car cooling it, providing power for the car. Me and some mates did a mini test run using a 100W peltiers using a candle and ice making 1.38V @ 0.21A (which I've uploaded) and another test used 4 with a Bunsen burner and dry ice to make about 15V @ 0.8A, which lit a 6V filament with ease but didn't blow it. I just need to make a joule theif now :p

Use the TEC to charge batteries with a regulator, run the heater off the batteries. Would be a small heater, but it would work none the less. I'm building my own ecofan here shortly using this TEC and a heatsink. Saving about 175 bucks.

That's a good thought, but remember energy can't be created or destroyed, only transferred. The transfer of heat through the peltier would result in more work for the heating system. Using more electricity, gas or whatever other source of power runs the heater. So you would generate electricity with the peltier, but at the added cost of energy use by the heater. See what I mean?

Another great idea!! I have a Peltier Module just like the one in your video. Bought it on Ebay. I got it to make a minature AC unit using a Bedini Fan. It didn't work. Draws too much juice. Using it this way makes alot more sense. I have also seen a video of someone using this on the exhaust manifold of a car it gather energy.

hey, is there a distortion function IN the recorder so i can plug my guitar into the dp-008 (without amp) and get a distortion sound?

Nice introduction to this marvelous machine. I received mine a week ago and have used it daily since. The only downside I see is the way in which tracks and masters are exported. Seems a dedicated, software based method could have been better, particularly for computer users (though you actually don't need a computer to save if you use outputs to other types of gear). But other than that, no complaints.

i bought the dp 004 a year ago and i am so mad that this came out recently! i would have definately waited to save up and get 8 tracks and all the new perks. as for SD and SDHC technicalities, it records onto both just like the dp 004 and it should export masters to WAV files just like the 004, and you can go to the CD from there.

It does record to certain tested brands of sd and sdhc cards listed on tascam's website. I think supported up to 32gb. I chose this model over the dp 004 cause of the xlr options, reverb, eq, thus more tracks. Note: get the power adapter! Batteries don't last very long.
