@warriorofsteel01 This is a third generation assault rifle, I don't see a Western counterpart as advanced and robust as the AN-94 rifle. Sure AK's aren't the most good looking, most accurate, or most used, but as for simplicity and practicality nothing compares. The US can't even replace it's M16 for a 3rd generation assault rifle, take a look at the ACR trails in the 1980's, (btw they are on YouTube). I can buy a semi auto version of the M16A2 (I actually own an m16a4 clone). I cant buy one of the AN-94. There for, the M16A2 is infinitely better for me. I also have a Saiga 223 that I am in the process of converting a AK-101 clone... but it is far from an accurate gun lol. My A4 clone is way more accurate. Both have been 100% reliable.

I would choose the H&K G3 over any weapon on this planet. I'm sorry, but 5.56 just doesn't cut it when you shoot to kill. None of this shoot and wound soft garbage, because the terrorists sure don't care with bombs strapped on their chests. You must remember the terrorists in Iraq today are usually high on a drug, so I would much rather hit them once or twice with a 7.62, or you can go the 5.56 route and hit them 4-5 times before the target is dead. Your choice.

To be honest I like balanced gas system better then shifted pulse one. Simpler and no doubt almost equally effective and cheaper to make as well. Easier to understand too. AK-107/108 and AEK-971/972/973 are very stable weapons too.

@varanid9 The problem with 5.56 is that it doesn't transfer enough energy to it's target. Penetration isn't bad, but it's not great either. 5.56 will kill, no doubt about it. The problem is that many times it doesn't kill or even drop an aggressor (this is with FMJ, other rounds are another story). You want to eliminate any opposition with the least amount of rounds fired, 5.56 isn't a good round for this. You need something that transfers its kinetic energy much better.

The difference being the charge is ignited with an electrical pulse instead of a firing pin. Now you also could be mistaking coil guns for rail guns. Single stage coil guns have been made, but you'd need a multi-stage to do any damage and they are still very large. Maybe you should get some information, period.

AN-94 isnt as good as many think it is. It has reliability issues due to its mechanical complexity. Id rather pick a AEK-971 or something like that with a reliable balanced recoil system over an AN-94.

@hehehe929 The AN- 94 is the only gun that shoots 2 bullets before the recoil can even hits the shooter. They will not sell it to other countries it is one of a kind and badass. But the real reason is they can?t make enough to supply their own army. If we could make all fighters plane F 22s we would but we don?t have the money to do it. They have the same problem on a smaller scale. And they have enough problems keeping their government together.

@Halvorson What about it? It's definitely not a weapon on the level of the M16 family of weapons. The only advantage it has drop dead reliability and a higher-power cartridge. The advantages of the higher power round are diminished by it's poor accuracy. That round does wild things much further than 100m. I think the Western-style of very modular rifles is a better way. The AN-94 looks like a rifle designed for the 1980s. I'd rather have 6.8mm M4-style rifle with an ACOG.

This is the only professionally filmed performance of this song with a prepared piano, but there's at least one bootleg video from that tour that has it. The song was played at every show I believe.

Did you ever subscribe to REALLY DEEP THOUGHTS? I believe they featured an interview with Tori about the prepared piano. The original was a very old upright that Eric Rosse (and I believe Philip Shenale) practically destroyed. They detuned it. They muted 2 of the 3 strings of each note. They put all sorts of stuff in the key mechanisms. And I VIVDLY remember that Eric smashed the soundboard with something - maybe a hammer.

Isn't it awesome!!?? It was great that she brought that piano on tour with her just for the ONE song! But I have to slightly correct you, this piano that she toured with was not the original prepared piano that was used during the recording of UNDER THE PINK. This piano was prepared just for the tour - the original was too fragile to transport all over the world.
