nice thanks your tutorials have really helped me get started. One thing though - using tables to layout content is an old practice, they should only be used for genuine tabluar data. The same effect can be achieved using divs and css which I'm sure you're aware of. Keep up the good work!

Just some info...."md5" is known as a "one way encryption". Which means you CANNOT decrypt it once it has gone through the process. You can match md5 to md5 to make sure that the person has the correct primary password, but you won't know what it was before the md5 process.

I've noticed one problem with the password encryption though; when you enter all the info, and it says "Your account has been created" or whatever, it submits the data into the php table. However, since the password had previously been incrypted, it inserts the encrypted password into the table. If you follow youhakim's instructions but the fields still do not show up on your registration page try this. Go to the root of your site using FTP or file manager, drill down within your templates folder and modify two files there. See below: templates/currenttemplatefolder/html/com_user/register/default.php AND templates/currenttemplatefolder/html/com_user/user/form.php You will modify them the same way as the other files. This should solve you problem if using a different template.

@abhijeet7654 you are correct! Never change core files as the maintainer (usually you) will kill you in the future. The correct method is, copy the existing registration module and rename it. Also you should create a separate table in the db and use a fk in the new table. Other than that though it's a pretty good tutorial.

Great tutorial - worked fine on 1.5.15. The email issue (not containing the new fields) isnt really an issue for me as I have set the system up that it requires admin authorisation so they get all the info stored on site in any case when the admin logs in to authorise

@ lukaszswietek in Berlin '99 he didn't play the bass, he has his style with bass guitar, and I don't find any problem, it's only another way to play this music, not every live performance have to be THE SAME or LIKE 1999!! it should be bore-snore!
