@Nateb123 Gasoline is explosive too. We don't "need" to have vehicles with 500 mile range on one tank, but it is still possible with compressed hydrogen. Range can be adjusted by making vehicles smaller, tanks bigger, and/or increasing compression. The figures on wind are not padded. Just read the tome of all human knowledge that is Wikipedia. I read renewistan. It's a BIG project, but it's far from impossible. Hydrogen is a very useful fuel; we use it to get to space.

To have energy equal to gasoline, it would take about 50000psi and thus is exactly what I said before (ie. useless in transportation), no? So why do you go on about a hydrogen economy? It doesn't work because hydrogen fails as fuel. Moreover, renewables are equally useless. Google "Renewistan" for some numbers because you've been reading padded figures

Also, I have seen a cost analysis showing wind being much cheaper than nuclear, but I couldn't find the source again. But, even looking at nuclear advocacy web sites, it still shows wind to be very competitive with nuclear and coal. A renewable powered "hydrogen economy" is very practical and cost effective with current technology.

@Nateb123 I suggest you do some reading. Wind power is cheaper than nuclear over a 30 year period with construction and operating costs included. Hydrogen burns hotter than gasoline and gives more power. I don't feel like doing the math right now, but hydrogen compressed at 15 psi has 1/6 the energy density of gasoline by volume. So, like I said it's good enough for transportation purposes. Don't know much about fuel-cells, but I suppose they are made of rare metals like batteries are.

@ps3man75 The Axis was not within 100 miles of Moscow on D Day but 700, they were as close as 40 miles at one time. The Eastern front was also 1,000 miles long in June 1944 and 300 miles from Berlin. France was conquered in 1940 and Germany was receiving a hell of a lot more tons in bombs than what London was. D Day did not turn the war around, it just helped speed up the Soviet advance to Berlin. The war turned around at Stalingrad January 1942.

Overall however they are still 'greener'. Nothing 'stupid' about that info. the use of flamethrowers on omaha beach is both nonsensical and genius because if there is 20 of you cramped up on a boat and the guy manning the flamethrower is hit every one will catch fire and be very noticeable by the mg42 positions and therefore will be shot to pieces on the other and if that dosent happen and you get into the bunker it will prove its worth and be invaluable
