And if you want a hadith from your book. Look this up: Sahih Bukhari. Volume 6, Book 60, Number 43. Go ask your local scholar. Make sure you read the Arabic though because the word is "Muta". The Saudi translator who translated it into English changed the word "Muta" to Hajj-at-Tamatu (which makes absolutely no sense to me). Again, don't take my word for it. Go read the Arabic. Mut'ah is legimitate and it prevents undercover zinah (which happens more often than you think).

In the Quran, we can derive the fact that Allah (swt) has given angels intelligence but no nafs (desire or free-will), He has given animals nafs but no intelligence & He has given us both...subhanAllah. We are his most valued creation & we must use our intelligence sometimes to decide whether an action is valid or not.

Only the contractual terms can have minor alterations, & that has been given the name or the label: misyar ..It doesn't even happen very often and if it did.. the woman can change her mind (with mutual agreement of the husband of course and at anytime she wants) that she now wants to be under her husband's financial support & there's nothing wrong with that.

Misyar is a mutual agreement that the wife CAN live with her husband without his financial support (maybe because she has money to support herself, etc) but this is NOT temporary marriage like mut'ah is.
