@rigdon you are paying quite a premium for the ZR1 - here in the U.S. the ZR1 costs about $108,000 whereas the GTR runs about $83,000. from what I've seen, the ZR1 is just a bit quicker and faster on the track. Also, You can't get the GTR in a manual. Even in the U.S. the GTR is still a better deal, but I can understand someone paying an extra 25k for the Corvette. If you want to beat a GTR that's about the only way to do it.

@Wcoltd I live in the UK, so for us it doesn't compare, as the ZR1 is £100k whereas the GT-R is about £55k. So, for us the GT-R is the bang for the buck king. The ZR1 is in a price bracket with Germany's 911 Turbo, but the ZR1 has the edge over that. Ferrari operate higher again-the 458 Italia coming in at around £160k, but frankly that is worth every penny. Don't get me wrong I love the ZR1, and I love American muscle in general. I saw a ZR1 in the flesh a few weeks back and it was sensational.

At least we American's have something, what do the Germans or Italians shout? "We are prettier?" The GTR is a marvel, The ZR1 is not as good for the price, but at least it's pretty close.

i love how the americans shout ZR1 at every car that ever comes from europe or japan. the ZR1 and the GT-R aren't even comparable - the GT-R is about 250kg heavier, has about 130bhp less and is 4WD. Also, the live IGN demo by Criterion's creative director was on a PS3 so maybe they are further into development on PS3 than 360.
